Dominican Republic today. We had planned a very short trip so decided to have breakfast in the main dining room. We hadn't booked in there and were not happy to find that the wait time was 45 mins so we had breakfast elsewhere.
The port area is extremely clean and tidy with a large pool area and shops and bars. Interestingly and as before, drinks were more expensive there than on the ship.
We then joined our trip - the Chu-Chu train which took us round La Romana. There was very little to see and, sadly, it's a fairly scruffy place.
We were amused to have police protection in the form of two guys on a motorbike carrying a Coke bottle and handcuffs, but no crash helmets! Bit like Dwayne and JP from 'Death in Paradise'.
The last time I saw wiring of this standard was in Vietnam!
